When I say that I am really content with the skin I possess, I am serious. But I'm sure kidding if I say that I don't want to make it better! Never have I ever (after obtaining sense) run after a skin with lighter complexion. To be honest in my current state of mind, dusky is sexy. But a glowing skin, that's the sexiest.
Fair skin tone but dull and lifeless would attract you more or a glowing happy face of no matter what colour? Done with the explanations. Lets come to how!
Its no alien science, neither it is 10 spa visits per month. Its as simple as adding 1 quick trick to your daily routine and chill. Doesn't sound costing fortunes, does it?
Before handing you a list of best-of-the-lot tricks towards a glowing skin, let me tell you that why such things you are recommended, all over the internet, to use come out of the kitchen.
They say, you are what you eat. What you eat matters, thats how you'll see yourself, but what you put on your skin is what the world will see.
If you're a statistics person, you should know that an average person loads his body with 10 different skin care products everyday and our body, being the sponge it is, absorbs nearly 130 chemicals that we're on an average exposed to. Lets be fair, no one dies of using the thousands skin care products revolving in the markets everyday, but the fact that complex chemicals have a potential unknown side can't be ignored.
So the naturally grown ingredients that reside in your kitchen are as chemical free as it can be.
Another fact is that these may be all safe to do but you don't want to use 5 of these simultaneously. Though you may use a combination of a daily and a weekly thing for some time and then switch to a different one. None knows what skin you have, except of course, you and your derm. Choose what suits 'you' best.
WATER & WORKOUT
The first and foremost thing you got to apply to your life is drinking enough water, and then draining it out enough too. This is 1 trick that will never fail anyone, and the only one that'll prove itself the very first time you apply it. Go for a jog or just do your regular workout session, did sweat enough? Now just wash your face and look at it. It glows, doesn't it?
Sweating is our body's natural detox, keeps you fit and healthy and glowing. What else do you need in life. :p
TOMATO & HONEY
Take a pulpy slice of tomato and dab some honey on it. Now rub it while softly massaging the skin through the face and neck. Leave it to dry when done & then wash with tap water. Repeat once daily.
Tomato is full of vitamin A&C which gives the skin an instant glow. While honey have anti bacterial properties which will help reduce acne and any scars left behind too.
ALOE VERA
This one is supposed to work for everyone out there but somehow I know a few people who it doesn't go well for, when done along with a considerable sun exposure. If your sun exposure is low though, its totally worth a try.
Take some aloe vera gel and rub it over your face and neck. Let it sit until dry. Wash off. As simple as that. Preferable to use fresh aloe vera gel every day, though there are a lot of good options in the market too if you wish to go that path.
The ancient Egyptians were not wrong at calling aloe vera, 'the plant of immortality'.

YOGURT & LEMON
2tbsp yogurt and 2tsp lemon juice. That's all you need to massage the skin with every day to attain a glow like the sun has risen for you today. Yogurt is great at moisturising while lemon does its job extremely well at maintaining the ph balance on your skin, fighting acne causing bacteria and thus cleansing it with a soft fragrant citrus smell.
GREEN TEA
Make some green tea. Take 3-4 spoons out & let it cool. Drink the rest. Once on room temperature, dip a cotton ball in it and apply it all over your face. When dry, apply another coat over it, and do so for the entire 3-4 spoons you've taken out. Wash off when finished. Enjoy the glow.
THE GLOW JUICE
Yes its real. Not every beauty trick is to lather, slather or rub something on your face. The trick here is to combine the right antioxidants. You need 2 carrots, 1 apple and 1 beetroot.. made into a juice which if you consume 1 everyday, it'll have you glowing.
