GET RID OF THE PATCHY TAN NATURALLY

You are probably already facing tanned skin issues and this is not the first time you're searching for a solution. Nothing seem to be working, except us.. In this evergrowing evil scorching heat! But life doesn't stop.
So instead I'll just list out the easy to execute remedies out of 1000s available all over the net. The ones that also serves the lazy you after a long working day and especially the ones that has worked well for me!

Result time varies for different remedies, also depending on the amount of sun exposure you go through. Always, prevention before cure, try keeping it to the minimum.
I have an average wheatish skin tone with high melanin production, which means 5 steps out of home and I get tanned! A little towards the sensitive side, its acne prone, and everyones foe- combination skin!
Its not the color that is the problem, but the damage that heat cause to the skin and in turn comes discolored skin patches. So, to even tone and maintain a fresh looking skin..

1. Lemon juice
Squeeze out fresh lemon juice from half a lemon and apply it generously on your face with your finger tips giving your skin a gentle massage. You can also rub it on your face using the lemon slice itself.
Let it dry (takes 2-3 min) and then re apply a coat over it. Do it for all the juice you have and at last wash off with fresh water.
Lemon has bleaching effects and so it may cause a little bleach like irritation on your skin. In such case, dillute it with some rose water.
- gives the skin a squeaky clean feeling.
- will take some time to show results (when done regularly).
- you can also mix a tbsp of sugar with it. Use as a scrub and wash off.

2. Tomato juice
Take a pulpy slice of tomato and rub it over your face and other tanned areas. Let it sit until dry. Wash thoroughly.
I've personally tried this and it has worked wonders for me with noticeable results in a week when done daily. (My sun exposure at that time was very less)
- apply daily
- cleans and cools the skin
- help the skin glow while looking fresh
- works best for normal-oily skin

3. Potato
Mash potato and squeeze it to collect the juice in a bowl. Mix lemon juice with it or use alone. Apply on tanned areas and wash when dry. I've tried this 1 in past but it never seemed to work enough for me before I lost motivation. Though its claimed to have worked wonders for many others out there.
- apply daily

4. Yogurt
Take 2 tbsp yogurt & 1 tbsp lemon juice. Mix it well and massage tan affected areas taking generous amounts of the mix. After done massaging, let it sit for some time and wash thoroughly when dry.
It will not only abundantly moisturize your skin but also reduce the damage caused by the sun.
I've tried it and with just a lil faith and patience, it works!
- apply daily
- results in 1-2 weeks
- good for both dry and oily skin types

5. Gram flour
Also known as besan, gram flour has proven to work wonders to skin since ages! If you may recall, your mom and grandmom must have adviced you to bath with ubtan from time to time. Also, it is used in the rituals of weddings.
I also use it to remove colors after holi every year. If it can work on those colors, it can definitely remove a tan.
Make a cream like paste with gram flour & yogurt and apply it all over your face and hands in scrubbing motions. Let it sit until dry and wash while massaging with lukewarm water later. It will give you an instant glow and fresh looking skin.
- Use it once or twice a week.
- noticeable results from very first use

6. Multani mitti
Also called fuller earth, multani mitti is mixed with rose water and applied as a face pack. Let it sit until dry but don't wait much long after the skin begin to tighten as else it will cause dryness.
Wash it thoroughly with lukewarm water and moisturize.
- apply once or twice a week.
- does not affect the complexion too much.
- but it cools the skin and reduces irritation or inflammation, if any, due to the heat.
- fights the oily skin pretty good.

7. Raw milk
This is a great moistirizer and also cleanses the skin well. Just take some raw milk out of the fridge and massage it on your face with the fingertips. Let it sit. Massage some more when it is near to drying and finally  wash off later.
- noticeable results in 1 week.
- apply twice daily. (If you choose to do only once a day, mornings are the best)

Do let me know what has worked for you in hard times.. something out of the list? mention it too :D
